At the library...can't focus. Taking a research 'break' before I will indefinitely take a nap upstairs for at least 30 minutes. I keep blaming my lack of motivation and pathetic attention span on the summer, but I'm seriously beginning to wonder if I have ADHD.

Next week, I have a pretty important practical/exam, a presentation, and some MAJOR planning to do. I feel like it's not going to hit me until the night before...ugh. Time to start shaping up... I don't even know when/if I'm going home before LA and Europe. O_o Soooo much to dooooo...

I haven't been clubbing in so looooong...or so it feels. I definitely won't wear heels next time...that or I just need to practice dancin' in them! >_< My legs are so sore! Roxy was fuuuun -- very AZN to say the least. (On Tuesdays) DJ Penetrate was pretty good and he kept the house bumpin'! Once again, I felt very tall in my heels...probably taller or equal to about 45% of the guys there. O_o It was 18 and up night too; you can *really* tell who isn't over the age of 21. *sigh* To be old!

Happy 21st Birthday Winston! Finally legit...and in better shape then I thought he'd be, lol.

So this past Saturday, the girls and I ventured to HARWIN to celebrate the end of the week and a visit from MARY! =D We ended up perusing Savy accessories and a few other clothing stores...I found the sexiest little number at one store. Haha...now if I could only have to opportunity to go out!

I got a nice little stash of hair goodies...yaaay! Now I can actually *do* something with my hair!

Isn't it pretttttty!?!

Afterwards, we had a delicious meal at CAFE 101 in Bellaire. It was nice to have catch-up girl time! Finished off the night with Breakfast at Tiffany's and some Cherry Amarettos!

I am IN LOVE with this dress!!! It is so cute...too bad it's $136 ON SALE! >___<

In other news, WELCOME THOMAS!!!!! I have to check out your new pad soon! ^__^ Hopefully it's in working order!

Yep. I have to WORK tomorrow!!! *sigh* Albeit, it's only 9-2pm. Still. I wanted to relax today! >__< Teeny helped me unwind a bit as we ventured to our favorite place...Ghetto Kroger!!! (Next time, I'm taking the camera! Tina wanted a picture next to the moon man in the wine section)

The frontier is endless on the cooking front! Today, Tina and I ventured out to ghetto Kroger's -- I gathered supplies for the following:

Vietnamese pork chops (grilled)
Bulgogi (Korean style BBQ)
Chocolate peanut butter cupcakes

Plans for 4th of July BBQ are developing. Currently, party of 2.

First day!

=D What a great weekend...I slept in, ate good food (french toast =D), and went to the AQUARIUM downtown. ^__^

Today was my first day of community experiential rotation. The clinic I work at is relatively steady, but nothing compared to Walgreens. Talk about a busy first day though...I was told it was going to be quite "introductory" -- as in not doing jack. Or so I thought. After 3 hours of DRUG DESTRUCTION (aaaaaargh!), I was thrown into a slew of transfers and inventory and was forced to learn the computer system. Oh well...it's better to learn from firsthand experience...helps you gain confidence even though it kind of crushes it in the beginning. :P My preceptor says we have to work on my "nice voice" -- apparently, I need to be more authoratative. Now I know why my roomie was so tired after work, though...it really takes it out of you. I kind of miss class...

Still, it is a bit exciting MINUS the fact that I have to be in Katy to do some of my hours since my preceptor is only working part time. Boooooo!!! Waking up eaaaarrrrllly tomorrow. *sigh*

Ugh...I hear the distant rolling of thunder. Now I kind of shudder whenever I hear a storm coming. I thought the rainy season passed during the Spring?!

Crap wather aside, I'm going to admit it. I'm absolutely giddy right now. I'm a lucky, lucky girl. I have awesome friends, loving sisters, and now...well. I couldn't be more thankful.

Isn't Anderson Cooper kind of hot?

I love his little half-smile...reminds me of somebody I know...

What. A. Day.

I learned more about cars this past week than I'd ever think I'd learn. Never again will I try to ford through water in the pouring rain. My poor Ion. Thanks to friends who were supportive and a HUUUUUGE thanks to TUAN. My car thanks him too. Also thanks to the random angel that ran up to us and helped push our car into the parking lot. Whoever you are, you *REALLY* made a difference.

To sum it up:

Spark plugs!

Octane booster!

Crank!

The tow truck guy was from Jerusalem. We had an interesting conversation concerning the current Palestinian conflict on the way back. Oddly enough, it kind of put things into perspective for me...I mean, there are kids in Israel who have to carry around white flags so they won't get shot on their way to school. It really is unreal. Not to say it still sucks that my car almost got washed away today, but at least I'm alive and well and not constantly living in a state of fear. heh. Ironically, I came out of this feeling luckier than I thought.

Anyway, I think I'm calling off the party Saturday due to exhaustion and a general feeling of apathy. -_- *sigh* I feel like my true friends really pulled through for me on this one though...I'll be giving them a treat on Saturday instead. ^_^
